Summer School 2022 at Garey HS

Email notifications confirming student's Summer School registration were sent out. Check Student Connect and Parent Connect for Summer School schedules. Please note that all "Online" classes are on campus and in person during Summer School.

Students Improving Writing

Garey students' Gloria Rodriguez, Samantha Torres, John Bragado, Adriana Cabello, and Claudia Rubio successfully completed the Creative Writing Workshop program.

Garey High School kicked off its literacy campaign, Cafecito con Libros

Over 1,100 students signed up to participate in a month-long (Hispanic Heritage) reading program. Students were provided with a selection of book choices written by Authors, with Characters that resemble our community. For the next month, students will complete their Loteria Card by completing tasks that include: summarizing, identifying character traits, writing, etc. Students who complete the Loteria Card will be invited to join an outdoor assembly celebration and participate in a discussion with published authors.
