Garey Art Teacher Christina Longstaffe is recognized by the Honda Appreciation Team by rewarding her and her students with $5,000 in art supplies.

Garey High School actually reminds me that high school I grew up in England's I'd like to go back to teachers I was kicked out of all my classes I barely barely graduate high school so I understand you know what about these kids are going through why they act up the outlets that they need in the hearts so it's very important class Miss longstaff has a real energy and a positivity about her that is awfully contagious really heartwarming to show everyone that you can stay strong yes sir song stuff is like really inspiring Miss longstaff use teacher for a lot of students that just made them see things in a different way or made them believe in themselves just the amount of lives that she's been able to touch it. every material that we buy gets used up so we need is cuz you know we have to replace it and I'm always go to United Way sometimes they give donations one student for extra credit his dad work for paper company so we buy things we used to do batik we worked with metal we use our kind of exciting exciting for me to teach I want to teach the kids that we just contact because you don't have the funding I kind of thought something it was out today cuz it's Teacher Appreciation Day by thought maybe we'll get some muffins to know in the Teachers Lounge bushes coming in South people have cameras I was like always must be like something special over here with a random act of helpfulness for teacher I start trying to surprise you today we are taking you and some of your students on a $5,000 shopping spree at Blick art supplies in Fullerton I'm ready to go right now I don't know what the guy looks funny things to get I just don't want to see you in every little thing I want I want I want that other pain are they killing oil pastel the canvases all of it this applies staircase it's stressful but wonderful the same time boy they really surprising today and me cry it's a huge shot in the arm serials really does change lives and make it cute impact now you can do a lot of things that you probably didn't think you would be able to do with your kids so congratulations you are an amazing educator you change lives every single day you for being who you are because you really made today possible I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude for all of our SoCal Honda dealers that have made today possible you're doing really important work and we thank you for it we hope you'll keep doing it when we promise to show you all the gorgeous things that we're going to make with these materials and it would not have happened without socalhonda so we are so grateful thank you very much
